Brenda S. Price is a licensed, certified, clinical social worker (LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland. She provides therapy for adult individuals and couples struggling with many types of situational and marital crises and mental health issues, and specializes in utilizing the developmental model for couples therapy. Additionally, Brenda spends time in quiet, restorative pursuits and working and playing with her certified therapy dog, Riley, a Cavelier King Charles Spaniel.
Education and Counseling Philosophy
Brenda holds a master's of social work degree from University of Maryland. In addition, she is a facilitator for the Prepare/Enrich Couples Program, a program designed for premarital couples, premarital couples with a child or children, cohabitating couples, couples interested in marriage enrichment, and couples over the age of 50 who are getting married, seeking marriage counseling, or going through life transitions such as retirement. Brenda is currently enrolled in a post-graduate couples therapy certification program with Ellen Bader, Ph.D., co-author of the books In Quest of the Mythical Mate and Tell Me No Lies. This program emphasizes a developmental model in assessing and addressing couple issues.
Experience
Brenda has more than 18 years of experience providing mental health therapies in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She is also a trained DRADA facilitator and ran the local Depression Support Group for 10 years.
