Education and Counseling Philosophy

Julie graduated from the University of Maryland at Baltimore.  She believes in fostering a strong therapist-client relationship built on compassion, respect, safety, and hope. Using evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused, Crisis Intervention/Management, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, she creates an optimal environment for growth and change.

Julie’s 30+ years of experience in providing a wide range of services, including Employee Assistance Program counseling, crisis response, leadership consultation, health and wellness coaching, organizational wellness consultation, and individual therapy, demonstrates her deep understanding of mental health and her ability to effectively address various patient challenges. Julie is a culturally competent provider for all public safety employees.
