Terre is paneled with several major insurance companies, including Medicare. Many PPOs provide some reimbursement for out-of-network providers. Terre Gilbert is a licensed, certified clinical social worker (LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland and a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work. Terre’s areas of expertise include trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, grief, life transition and relationship difficulties.

Education and Counseling Philosophy

Terre holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Hood College and a Master’s in Social Work from UMAB (University of Maryland at Baltimore School of Social Work). She believes good therapy is a collaborative effort and both the client and therapist are essential to the process. Compassion, respect, safety, and hope are key to working together and creating the optimal conditions for change and growth. Terre offers a combination of traditional and cutting edge therapies to facilitate healing including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and ETT (Emotional Transformation Therapy).

With more than 24 years of experience providing treatment, Terre’s background is extensive and includes providing emergency psychiatric and crisis counseling, varied group therapies, conducting organizational team building, professional education and training, as well as individual and couples therapy in private practice.
